That includes WPT Ambassador Brad Owen, who cashed in last year’s WPT World Championship event for $99,000. Owen and fellow WPT Ambassadors Andrew Neeme and poker Hall of Famer Phil Ivey will host the star-studded Premier ‘Meet-Up Game’ (MUG) starting at 9 a.m. PT on Dec. 1 to kickoff the WPT Festival at Wynn Las Vegas. The cash games are held in the poker room at the Encore, which is known as the Wynn poker room.

Along with seven starting flights for the $600 entry, $1 million guarantee No-Limit Texas Hold ‘em event starting Nov. 29, the WPT at Wynn also runs numerous mini-tournament ‘satellites’ which offer poker players more affordable options to win a seat into the bigger events like the $5 million, WPT Prime Championship and $40 million guaranteed WPT World Championship. Satellites start at $400 and big turnouts are expected with a minimum of 25 seats given away to winners at each milestone satellite.

The $1600 entry, $2 million guarantee prize pool Mystery Bounty No-Limit Hold ‘em tournament starting Dec. 4 is also a most popular tournament for poker players. Additional cash prizes are awarded to surviving players on Day 2 who knock out other poker players from the tournament.

The World Poker Tour broadcasts Main Tour events throughout the U.S. The shows are currently commentated by Tony Dunst and Vince Van Patten along with anchor Lynn Gilmartin. WPT Executive Tour Director Matt Savage oversees the tournaments and live event action.

The luxurious Wynn Las Vegas - a Forbes Five Star Award-winning resort - partners with the World Poker Tour for this year’s end of the season tournament series. The WPT Championship Series events have been a huge hit, and will be a staple of the year-end WPT World Championship in Las Vegas in the years ahead.
